Ruth Bradshaw

Ruth is a highly experienced and respected musician who loves how music unites and uplifts people of all ages and from any background. Ruth has facilitated music for wellbeing sessions for several years and has taken the joy of music and it’s power to enhance peoples’ lives to Dementia patients on the Sam Davies Ward in Barry ; New Horizons Day Centre in Barry; Headway Charity; Rookwood hospital as well as working with other vulnerable and disadvantaged people including the homeless. She is a qualified Singing for Lung Health Tutor and has led several Community Choirs including Betws Community Choir, Adamsdown Community Choir and Cardiff Canton Singers.

Ruth was, previously, a music tutor for Community Music Wales and led numerous rock, pop and percussion sessions for young people. Ruth has performed on her sax in various Bands including Funk bands, Dance bands and has even played with Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra. Ruth enjoys songwriting and with a Masters Degree in Composition has also composed for different music ensembles. 

When not music making with other people Ruth loves to escape into nature with her family.
