Mike gained an MA in music therapy from UWE in 2013. He has since worked with end-of-life care at St Davids Hospice and with neurorehabilitation at Frenchay hospital. Mike has also worked with people struggling with their mental health services at Ty Canna and across Cardiff and the Vale and has extensive experience of working with dementia for almost a decade.
Mike currently combines freelance music therapy sessions, songwriting and performing alongside his role as a mental health support worker. A passionate practitioner, who draws from his own personal life experiences to support others to make positive changes their lives. His music sessions allow people to explore their emotions through music, providing an alternative non-verbal outlet for self-expression. He is really enjoying being part of the Breathe Creative team.
