Nick Clements

Nick is mainly known for his work with masculinity and rites of passage. He is also one of the longest serving community artists in the UK.

Over the past 45 years he has been employed as an author, film maker, consultant and workshop leader in the diverse fields of masculinity, rites of passage, arts and health, person centred creativity, wellbeing, and much more.

Community Artist since 1981, based in South Wales. Specialising in working in areas of high social need, working with people who have never used the arts. Using creativity to develop health and wellbeing, and impart she confidence and worth.

Honorary Professor in Community Arts, Staffordshire University
Visiting Professor, Warsaw University, Poland
Presently: teaching and practicing ‘Person-Centred Creativity’ with community groups and health and care professionals.

Masculinity and Rites Expert since 1985, employed over the whole planet.
Specialising in developing modern and relevant rites of passage within society. Using ritual, ceremony and personal development.
Author of 3 books on masculinity and rites.
Made films with, lived with, and developed projects with indigenous peoples. Given talks, run workshops and ceremonies all over the world. Presently: Adapting work and rites to the UK, train both men and women to use rites.
