‘Growing Together ’ exhibition – (Un Blaned, Un Cycle – One Planet, One Chance)

From 31st July we have a new exhibition at The Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff at the Ffwrnais space. Our ‘Growing Together’ exhibition will be on display as part of their ‘Un Blaned, Un Cycle – One Planet, One Chance’ project, celebrating the wonder of our planet and highlighting the urgent need to protect our natural environment.

Our exhibition was created by participants working with us in different groups across Cardiff, Bridgend and The Vale of Glamorgan. In these groups we have been connecting with nature and taking time to reflect on our natural surroundings using all our senses.

We been working on these projects in partnership with Ty Canna Outreach Services in Cardiff, Mental Health Matters in Bridgend, the Vale of Glamorgan Refugee Support Team, SHED Services and the Growing Green allotment project in Cardiff.

Breathe Creative’s creative workshops help people to express and process their feelings in a safe environment. Using mindfulness and relaxation techniques can help participants to enjoy sharing through creativity, with the aim of leaving labels behind and working as equals. These projects facilitate a creative wellbeing journey through the seasons, with nature-based arts activities to support connection, creativity and focus. Participants have found that nature inspires them to express themselves creatively through painting, photography, printing and writing.

Facilitated by Sarah Featherstone and Katja Stiller, Breathe Creative Therapeutic Arts Facilitators. Funded and supported by The Arts Council of Wales, The National Lottery Community Fund and our project partners.
