Creative Activities for Wellbeing – Make a Pasta Bake

Creating Calm

It’s a really hard time for everyone so we are thinking about how we might be able to explore some creative, mindful and fun things to do.

We are reaching out and connecting people through social media using art, dance, music, film, creative writing and cooking. We are using Zoom to connect artists and families together, to share skills, ideas, thoughts and creativity. We are also recording some of our sessions to produce short films to capture the mood and emotions of the people participating. We hope that these films will reach a wider audience and encourage more people to take part.

Engaging in the creative process helps us to focus on the task at hand, to relax in the flow and to find enjoyment. Sharing this experience with others also helps to break our feelings of loneliness and isolation.

In this creative cooking movie, Sian, our experienced cooking for wellbeing facilitator, helps us create a pasta bake from food in our cupboards.
